AnDe's Wisdom

New

tick tick tick
I hear the clock
Father Time is at the door
I dare not answer
But he sneaks in
With death hanging on his coat-tails
They run, They hide
In the cupboards
No avail to the weak of heart
A scream, a thud
Then all is silence
I am next, I see
Father Time glides over
The gray beard next to my nose
The greedy Death
Eyes me from the floor
A cold hand
Touches my cheek
Father Time smiles at me
In an instant he is gone
Twilight approaches fast, ever carefully
The Sun is coming home
His sisters greet him at the gate
The darkness flees from my sight
The Sun is near to me
I can see his robes are made of Moonlight
The eldest sister of his blood
Casts her eerie rays
And hunts the comet abroad
With a bow of mahogany wood
Iris hides in the corner alone
Her rainbow cape
Hidden from view with raven hair
Black water over colored stone
The moon, her name Diana
Has captured a comet now
Throws it's lifeless body
To be eaten by her houndss
Dawn is dancing erractically
With sisters Noon and Twilight
Laughing, spinning, laughing again
No chores, no work right now
Off in the distance
The wind begins to howl
An icy chill fills my bones
I see my own soul
Staring back at me
I silently scream at the light
Iris looks up from the corner
She waves a hand
All is gone
She speaks so carefully
"We are the fabric of dreams
What things may come
Are not as we intend
As we are the fabric of dreams"
